yuh i dont know the set up yet i have to ask my teacher..but thanx for telling me its possible lol..will i have to sing really loud and close to the mic to get my voice above the electric guitar and piano ??cause i see Chris Martin performing and he has his mic on the mouth and when i put my mouth on the mic it doesnt sound as good as if i take it away like 2 inches....this is my first time singing...and i never sang over a grand piano+electric guitar..and its gonna be live so i have no clue wuts good or bad to do and how to get prepared....and i never used a real mic in my life lol i used my computer headphones to record myself while playing a keyboard and it came out pretty good so i decided to doit live in school..

If the system you use to amplify your voice is loud enough you don't need to be on the mic in order to cover the other unstruments. Probably it would be better to start asking once you know what you are going to use, ask your teacher.
The best way would be to have a PA system for live concerts: microphones, mixer, effects, amplifier, big loud speakers.
