One thing I like and respect about this company is that they say you're not going to get a $3,000 Neumann for $99. That's a rather refreshing attitude. They simply claim to make a great mic that will sell on its own merits. If someone finds it more suitable than a $3000 Neumann for a particular application, well that's great. There are few major studios in the world that hasn't got truckloads of cheap Shures that get used all the time.
How nice to escape the BS. I wish them well.

Well, I ordered a pair of HM-1's so I am counting on the buzz being from a killer product and not just skillfull promotion. A lot of guys seem to be loving them and they even got a resonable review in the rags.
They had some soundbites of the HM4 up for a while but they pulled all of them for both mics. It was definitely a bit brighter on the top end than the HM-1 but beyond that its impossible to tell from clips.
