Ok,
if you're familiar with logic, you probably know exactly why i'm asking this.
how can you use the Audiowerk8 interface as a DAE device, so that you can have a few extra in's and outs along with the core audio device? i know it can be done.
the disc that came with the audiowerk8 has as installer for it as a DAE, but i'm on OSX now, and i can't find that kind of driver for it!
i really do need to be able to record more than 8 tracks at a time!
anyone got any ideas?

here's the thing, OSX Logic does not support multiple CORE AUDIO devices, which is what your interfaces are going to be. a few years back, when the Audiowerk 8 was "the shit," it could be used as a DAE in pro-tools,,,, Logic's Audio Driver settings allow for multiple "types" of interfaces including "core audio (replacing asio drivers)" "VS" "DAE" and "TDM." but only ONE of each. that's where i'm getting. if i can get OSX to recognize the AW8 as a DAE, Bam, there's 2 extra in's and 8 extra outs!!!
oh well, i'll probably have to wait for the multiple core audio device support
wow! i read for the first time that you can use anything but dig
wow! i read for the first time that you can use anything but digidesign hardware with the dae! i don't think that this is possible with an audiowerk...also, logic under osx does not support multiple audio cards (yet).
