Okay, I know this could belong in "Pro Audio Gear," but since Myteks are really oriented towards our type of music, I'll post it here.
I just found out (maybe I'm the late one to the party here) that Mytek will be releasing an 8 channel AD/DA with 24/192 within the next couple months. (Probably right before AES NY). The price point is speculated to be around $3500 and yes, you did read that right 8 channels of 24/192 A/D AND 8 channels of 24/192 D/A! I'll be getting a review sample and will be posting the review here in the "Reviews" forum.
I'm so excited, I think I just let a little go. Oh well, I'll clean it up and move on...

Why convert the extra bandwidth when your mics and sources don't
Why convert the extra bandwidth when your mics and sources don't have any audible content up there? I would think 96 would be good enough. I'm even thinking that the clock jitter (as a percentage of sampling rate) would be lower and that the converter will be more accurate at 96.
