Hey everyone...
I'm going to be buying some new studio monitors for my tracking studio... i'll also be doing some mixing there...
Anyway, unfortunately my budget is sort of small... and i dont know squat about monitors other than i want a 'bi amped', powered pair. I do have some killer AT headphones and a pair of older monitors to supliment my mixing sessions. I'm looking for the 'work horse', the monitors to be my main setup.
I have about 500 bucks to spend on the two. (so yeah, they probably won't be wonderful...)
please lend me some advice! i dont know what to do!

In my experience, it all depends on the size of your room. That being said, I'd look into KRK V6II's... a Blue Sky Media Desk 2.1 System... or maybe the Alesis M1 Active MkII.
The V6II's are flat... The Blue Sky 2.1 System is a little more hyped... the Alesis is the happy medium between the two.
The KRK's and the M1's run about $600 a pair, the Blue Sky 2.1 is $500... if it were me and it were a smaller, treated room, I'd go with the KRK's... if we're talking about a larger one for tracking, I'd look into the 2.1 system.
