Hi all !
I've got all my DAW-components (mic, mixer, soundcard, software, etc), but I can't seem to figure out how to connect them properly so I can:
- record a mic track while listening to previously recorded tracks thru headphones
- after recording, listen to all tracks thru my speakers (without replugging cables)
Especially the ins(4x)/outs(4x) of the soundcard vs the "ctrl room out", "main out" and "phones" outputs of the mixer get me very confused...

Which cable goes where?

The gear I have is:
- up-to-date PC, running SONAR
- M-Audio Delta 44
- Behringer UB802
- SM58 mic + XLR cable
- simple computer speakers

ctrl out goes to your monitors.....main out goes to your 2 track
ctrl out goes to your monitors.....main out goes to your 2 track recorder (outboard cd burner, 1/4 or 1/2" 2-trak tape) and phones out is where you plug in your headphones
