I think I know what you mean, or not. Is it that you want to play a song and than musically it will fit into the next (like Sgt. Pepper's...) or just a sort of quick crossfade into the next?

Either was I used soundforge just to crossfade each song into each other when I done something like this.

either, just record your songs as usual, and bring 'm to the Mastering Engineer; it's his job. He can sequence things and cut it in the right way.

or:
just record your songs as usual, after you finished mixing 'm, bounce them (to stereo, or maybe to mulitple tracks, so you have more freedom)
and load the final mixes into a new project's audio pool.

then you have to bounce that project as a whole and use an audio-editor (i use Peak 4 (on mac) to cut things into tracks.
then burn using disc at once, and no gaps in between the songs.

That's the guy doing the mastering's job.
Just tell whoever you hire, thats what you want.

Well I'm actually just recording my band, my friend's dad has a friend who said he would master like 2 songs for us, he is really high quality, but we want 6 songs done and I dont know how we can get 6 songs out of him. Plus we want alot of "studio" effects, just layering of guitars and different effects that makes the CD stand out more. So we have free time, obviously, If I do it myself, and of course I'm not a professional, not even close, but it's better than paying a few hundred dollars... That we dont have haha.

And yes, I did mean it musically flows, not just a crossfade, it's as if its one whole song, but I want it broken up into 6 tracks. I think Thomaster gave me the right idea, basically record all the songs like I would usually do, do all the stuff I need to, and load them into a final project, and perhaps I can record and put in transitions there, and then cut them where htey need to be.

Try this,
See what he will charge you for 2 songs. Then tell him you dont have much money to work with. But would he concider taking a little bit more money than what he just asked for, but rather than just do 2 songs, do ALL (5 or 6 ) of the songs you want to do.

Dude. Confusion. Do you want the playing and the music, the chords and notes to all flow together like some massive symphony? Or do just want to avoid little bits of silence in between each track?

First one, not easy, increasingly hard for inceasing numbers of tracks. Second one very easy to do your self with WaveBurner on Mac and something else on PC, tho' this is part of a mastering engineer's job.

Yeah they are completely different songs but there will be technical, smooth key changes (or maybe they dont need changes), like I said, it's like one HUGE song, but it's not. The transitions will be noticeable. I'm not talkin about busting out a Dream Theater, but something like it.
