I've got bad news.....I have just restored the old UFO tracks from backup............something very very bad has happend.

I'm afraid the Snare top track is corrupted!!

No i'm not kidding......it's fucked up, and i haven't got the slightest idea what happend to it.
It's like the groove within the snaretrack itself has been altered......the kick bleed in the snare mic doesn't sync with the snare itself.
Very strange indeed.

Scenaria Told me it wasn't a big problem as we could trig a new snare from the bottom track, but i don't know if that's going to work.

if you have the bottom mic on a separate track, then no biggie for me, Ill still give it a go!
if all the files are rendered from the beginningm they should all sync...but I heard of your problem before it seems..maybe one of the cubendo heads, like Rick G. can help

Just makes it all the more interesting :) and yea before jumping to conclussions I would say lets let a cubase guru take a stab at the archive to see if they can help bring it back. Lenz, what do you have it archived on?

Don't worry about the snare. This can be dealt with. Scenaria will give it a shot, and so will others.

UFO is still on. Don't let this shy anyone away from mixing it. Fixing a snare isn't a problem, even in the analog domain.

Im not scared of a messed up track! :) hell mess em all up ;)

Snare or no snare, I'd still like to mix this track. If necessary, I can still use my trusty Clavia dDrum4 to trigger a new one or just go with Sound Replacer.

If the snare is "only" out of sync, but the audio itself is intact, it should be not a biggie in PT to line it up.
