So, you stole somebody's tube microphone and didn't realize it required a specialized cord? Do you realize it also requires a specialized power supply to go with that specialize cord, which you didn't bother to steal either? Since this is a specialty item, did you bother to contact Rode in Australia or your local pro audio dealer? You'll have to steal a pro audio magazine to find out what Rode they're really on.

RemyRAD, I have read many of your posts and comments in this forum and I have learned much from your observations and insights. I bought the mic used from GC (towson maryland) for 300$ and was unaware that it needed a special cable it did come with the power supply. I must say I was not exspecting this type of response.

You have to admit it sounds suspicious. The first place most people go to with qualms about their purchase is the seller. I'm thinking that the reason you got it so cheap is that it was an "as is" item which you may have missed the fine print. If GC don't have the cable in stock, they can order one for you. It probably won't cost that much more than ordering direct.

The Santa Barbara support location should be able to help you. Just send them an email.

do you make a point of coming across like a pretentious bitch in every post? sure, you're full of good information but every other post i read by you is designed to either alienate the OP or just plain make them feel like an idiot, while still giving the info. Your presentation could stand to improve a notch or two.

OP, glad to hear you got your mic up and running.

You need to take a pill. You have to realize where these people are coming from. For some reason, Trolls love this site. And, if you haven't noticed, the world is full of thieves. Mostly software pirates but there are also the practical thieves.

It seems sensible to me to suggest returning to the salesperson since, that is the most logical person to go to when you have a problem with your purchase.

Do you go to a mechanics forum when you find out the car you just bought has no clutch? No. You go back to the dealer and sort it out there. Simple. Logical. This is why the assumption of thief came up. It's a logical conclusion, though not necessarily correct.

Regarding Ms. RemRads style. That's who she is. No reason to take offense.
