Hi folks!
Let us share experiences considering our favorite daily use channel inserts on this thread..
I have been a big fan of Mc DSP lately, considering TDM and PSP, for RTAS.
So, some of my inserts have been:
a) COMPRESSORS BANKS2 > FILTERBANK E6 > WAVES PAZ
(after evaluating the track, I remove PAZ)
b) COMPRESSOR BANKS CB2 > FILTERBANK P6 > PAZ
(idem)
C) COMPRESSOR BANKS CB2 > WAVES Q6 > PAZ
(idem)
D) VINTAGE WARMER > Focusrite D2
E) VINTAGE WARMER > WAVES Q 6
F) VINTAGE WARMER > FILTERBANK E6/P6
For trouble bass tracks, sometimes a combi of 2 or 3 compressors help a lot. One compressor side chained by drum kick send, a second one with a lower threshold and mid ratio and if necessary, a third one with minimum limitingjust to even out the wild animal.
Hope to hear it from yours now.
Nice week
:)

Hi Bud!
Just curious.. where have you been using the C1 gate? for toms?
I have a dbx gate here that is accumulating dust.. I generally edit the drums toms. Rarely I use gates unless I am looking for a more wild tone, a la Phil Collins plus a gated rverb.
Yes, C1-gate is quite nice plug.
Nice wednesday

I paid almost $1000 for my Master X a few years ago, pretty nice and I need to A/B them so as to see who is the winner.
I have not been picking BF, TC EQ SAT, WAves Q and focusrite at my DAE folder recently anymore.
I have been using it for Kick, bass, snare, overs, guitars and also for junior mastering.
I do mainly pop/soul/rock/funk but have been using it in my mastering chain also.
Today I was "mastering" a Big Horn band project ( 30 to 50 musicians) and it sounded much better than TC MAster X 5.
I think it costs around $150.
Man, it is really well invested money.
The GUI is clean, simple, I beta tested it, runs as a breeze at my PT 5.1.1 TDM under Os 9.2
You need to check their Lexicon PSP 42/84 emulations. Nice flangers, delays.
More to come as I was informed today.
Hugs

We are currently working on some other technical issues which are related to
our previous products users who are forced to use AU now. After we manage those problems we could try to make RTAS for PC but we could not estimate
any release dates.

AC,
I use the gate on toms (many times just to duck the ambience when they are not being hit, by about 8-10 db, but not always), kick, snare... I usually get a lot of my drum sound from the OHs and a close room mic. Sometimes I scrub the track to get it nice and clean, sometimes I leave the ambience in. smiles, David

I am finishing a new song from my album, (a mix of "And the beat goes on- The wishpers" and " Facts of Love - Chaka Khan").
I am getting lots of juice from the overs, inserted with Vintage Warmer. Pretty nice approach bud. As soon as I finish I will send some samples to our brother here.
