I have used it... Its quite full sounding and warm as you would expect from a tube mic, pretty detailed but nothing amazing. What sort of thing are you thinking of recording?

We did a silly 'prefect day' thing where we switched between a few different voices at college using it. I?d be happy to send you a copy of the vocal track if you want to hear what it sounds like?

Have had great results with female vocals, not as much luck with male vocals. But overall, a pretty nice mic.

Absolute crap on male vocals, especially rock singers. Good (not great) for female. Its worked quite well on acoustic guitars for me, but thats a lot of money for an acoustic guitar mic.
Others will probably think differently, but thats my experience

hmmm... i have a c4000b, wich is i guess the same, but without a tube???
dont like it on vocals at all!!
on instruments its fine...
