I'm using th exact setup with the 2408 MKIII. The behringer can be setup to control faders and pans on SX. No mutes though, as they send the same CC's for off and on it seems.
It works, but there are definetly better dedicated controlers out there.
If you route all the channels through your DAW back to the mixer, the solo and mute channels work. The DDX is the best digtial mixer under $2,000. The Yamaha 01V96 has some plus features over the DDX, but there are too many features that it lacks like the meters on each channel, dedicated encoders, and 32 adat capability over the 24 of the Yamaha.
