What I thought was interesting was the hammer-on chords, "right hand" (well, I should say, left hand in his case because he's playing left hand) . They sound good. I should learn more hammer-on chording like that.

In the last 2 or 3 years, we've seen more and more performances like that, where an individual went to big extent to present fuller performances.
Making melodies and rithmes at the same time and even percussions or using loopers.
I find it to be extrordinary and wish I could perform like that.
One my favorite act is Steve Hill, a fellow Quebec Citizen who won numerous prices Canada wide for his solo live performances and solo albums.

But it also makes me a bit sad that we see more and more individual efforts and not more group efforts. Having medium musicians join in a group cinergy is far more insteresting to me than a single person on stage. The interactions between members always make the moments to be unique. It must be the result of the twisted wide access vs isolation internet made combine to the instantanious star reality TV shows we are being served everyday...

I remember seeing a one man band ( youtube ) Sax , hats between his knees , bass drum on back with beater attached to an elbow,
and keys,( rhodes If I remember rightly ) just off the stage so he played the chords with his toes .
I searched but maybe its not on youtube anymore .
These performers must put in some huge hours to hone their craft.

jk (obviously) That kid is incredible. I need a capo like his to goof around. Can any better guitarists tell me what key he is playing in? I'm trying to figure out how he got there, with his capo like that. Unless his strings are not standard tuning. The original is FM. So, if he tuned up a half step on those bottom four, plus the capo, he would be F#, B, E, A, and it looks like he is grabbing the C# on the standard B? Or maybe he tuned it to an open C#? Or maybe he bumped the song down to Fm?

If any of the better guitar players can see immediately how he got there, Id' be curious.

And just a fun side note (you guys may already know this) but MJ was super popular for his dance moves. Now, almost anyone, who has done anything, they usually aren't the first. Even if they are known for being the first, many times, it's not the case. A lot of people copied many of "MJ's" dance moves, and attribute them to him. But he is a very close rip off of Bob Fosse. Most of his stuff actually. He is however attributed with the invention of "the robot" and people haven't been able to find an earlier performance of it.

If you watch this whole vid, you'll see almost every one of MJ's moves. And I don't know if I would say Fosse "influenced" him, when the moves are that similar. The socks, the gloves, the hat, the crotch grab. We are looking at the white MJ lol, who was regarded as pretty original. Regardless, MJ was a musical genius, and a human tragedy.
