Does Mac support/need ASIO drivers?

I looking at possibly purchasing this audio interface

I have an iMac, but this interface says it features ASIO drivers for low latency. My question is, will Mac support this interface? I know Mac doesn't "need" ASIO drivers, but will it still function properly?
