I have a Behringer UB1832FX-PRO mixer and wish to record with my pc. At the moment, I have the main outputs going to my PC, and a surround sound monitoring system in the monitor out. With an acoustic guitar in the line in, the pc picks up the sound, however I cannot make Sonar or cooledit detect this sound. I have tried selecting the inputs but still nothing... any advice would be appreciated.

Control Panel -> Sounds and Audio Device Properties -> middle of Volume pane -> Advanced
Go up to Options -> Properties and select "Recording". Hit Ok.
You need to make sure that 'microphone' is selected. That's all I can think of without seeing the machine - sorry!
