hello. ive read this article in homerecording that u can actually upgrade an adk51 and make it sound like a Neumann u47 or something. i'm a bit warry. has anyone acutally tried this out? does it sound close to the real thing ... or world class at all? thanks.
I have heard at least 15 different U47's...they ALL sounded different...So which one of them was the Area51 upgrade supposed to sound like?
The ADK's Area51 TC and TT and the commemerative edition all stand on their own merits.And yes, to me, they have a very classic sound....Do they sound like U47's??? well they might.....
