My Dad had a huge collection of classical music as well as ALL the Frank Sinatra and Mario Lanza records. He also,for some reason, had two Fats Domino albums which I got real familiar with at the age of 8.

He was truly a pioneer.

I'm fortunate to have been a very (VERY) small part of a session with him in '98 as an intern. I don't recall exactly what it was for (maybe a commercial??) but I do recall that his demeanor and persona didn't live up to the ruckus of his manager and entourage shortly before his arrival at the studio. He was a quiet, gentle man and a pleasure to have been around. RIP.
