I've never been able to get mixes quite as good using coaxials as I have using a good 2/3 way NF, but ...that statement is also based on experience from years ago, with older models...

Actually, Tannoys were exactly what I was referring to, Chris... and for the same reason you mentioned - muddy mixes.
