Well, I can tell you first hand, since I am Apogee's Technical support, that our cables are not "re-badged". They are hand made in house and do indeed have an amazing shielding to them.

The cables are very solid in performance. If you were to do some Audio Scope measurements you will see a very solid eyed measurement...thus the "wide-eyed" label!
