well... I can't say I've tried so many or even know most of them, but I own a pair of Bx5As and I absolutely love them!!! they're extremely clean sounding to me, maybe not too powerful on the bass, but still very present and accurate.

Like ferchis, I have the Bx5A and havent had much experience with other monitors. But when I went to the guitar center and heard them I felt comfortible with purchasing them. I cant lie though, If I had the money at the time I would have purchased the "Yamaha HS80m's" they sounded a bit more crisp and had more bass output then my Bx5A's but all in all, for the amount of money I spent on the Bx5A's they were a great investment.

I haven't mixed on a ton of different moniters but I like my BX5a's best. They are clear and crisp and have plenty of bass that translates well into other systems. I've mixed with KRK Rokit 8" and they seemed pretty good, but my mixes seemed to lack low end. They always sound great in the studio, but didn't translate well on other systems.
My BX5a's seem to be very good middle of the road moniter. I have no plans on upgrading my near fields.
