Basically I assert that consumers have had a taste of the celestial jukebox and that has raised expectations. Raised them a LOT.

I think crippling Napster, is well...dumb. It is effectively splitting online file sharing into nowhere or perhaps into distribution factions or format wars (many still 'illegal') and will only delay the usefulness of having downloadables on the net.

Unless the record companies come up with a system it works BETTER than Napster, it won't be a huge business or valuable promotional tool for either the artist or the record company.
