hey I have a few questions about Logic pro 7.1, ok
1. how do you tell logic not to jump back a measure when you are recording? like i'm in the middle of the song and the cursor is in place and I hit record and then it jumps back a meausre and records from there
2. when mixing how do I get rid of the unused tracks in the mixer screen. I have like audio tracks 1-32 displayed when i'm only using 1-9, the extra tracks only show up on the mixer screen, not the arrange.
thanks

Just do a simple search and you should be able to find exactly what your looking for.

sounds like you have cycle record engaged, in the timeline do you see a grey bar that is the same leangth as your recording?
Search on cycle record in the online help for details, I'm currently not at my Mac.
On the track mixer, when the global button is engaged all available tracks are revealed. to add a track to the arrange window double click on it in the track mixer.
Also I think the tutorials at the Apple site will be useful for you.
