Tips for drive allocation? DP5?

First, here is what I have to work with:

1GHZ Dual G4 Destktop

1 GB Ram

1 80 gb drive

1 40 gb drive

OS 10.4 TIGER

DP4

I am going to do a complete reinstall. I would just like some tips from the field on how to allocate my drive space. Should I partition or just work with the two drives that I have?

I would like to start working more with video so I will eventually need to get more space but for now I am just recording, producing and arranging for songwriters.

What do you think?

Oh, and any thoughts on DP 5?

What I suggest is to use the 80GB for your system disk, Purchase a 160GB or larger for audio/video files. Add a firewire enclosure for the 40GB. Use the 40GB for samples, REX, apple loops, ect.

I use fanless eclosures like this....

DP5 won't know till it gets here, looks like it's about the same app, with a few new soft synths thrown in, and MacIntel compatibility.
