Looks good. I thought I saw a Digitech VCS-1, in your rack. I have been a bit curious about that unit. How is it working out for you??

It is actually the VTP-1 Dual Vaccuum Tube Preamp. It's working very well for me and I like its sound of both voices and instruments.

I would say yes. Maybe you need to do a search on the VTP-1 and read some reviews. Also if you have a chance to find a shop selling it, you could go and listen to it and see whether you like it.

I also happen to have the Behringer Tube Ultragain Preamp and it is not actually bad. You can see it there on the rack bellow the VTP-1.

you may get more accurate monitoring if you raise your monitors up off the desk and a bit farther away from the wall. Recorderman noticed this is my pic once, I moved them and it made a huge difference. fwiw
