First, mix and edit the project, and add any plug-in effects you desire. Once you're satisfied with the sound (even if it's purpose is to listen to it for more ideas), select Bounce To Disk from the File menu. Make sure you set it to 16 bit, and Stereo Interleaved if you want L/R separation on the CD. Choose a location/folder where you want to keep your bounced songs and away you go. (Suffice it to say that you need to pay close attention to each screen you come to as you proceed). After that is done, (assuming you're on a Mac) open iTunes and drag a copy of the song from the "bounced" folder into iTunes, select the song, and click the Copy To Disk button. That will get the job done for you. Good luck!

bounce to aiff.... i don't think that itunes will convert an sd2 file...

and if it's critical material.... don't use bounce to disk at all!! it can affect your sound!!

record through a digital loop onto a muted track and convert the resulting file to 16bit in peak.... don't forget to apply dither when you convert anything from 24 to 16 bits....
