Here's one of my reference mixes for my song mixes, but only for individual instrument balances in the mix - not to cop the same guitar sound, bass sound, etc..
Just listen to it again on my Audio-Technica M50's, and I didn't here the trouble spot(s) Could you give me an problematic instrument (ride, hi-hat, crash) with a min:sec where it comes in.
On my system I hear it near the beginning - gives a slight "essy" impression on certain syllables of the vocals - coming right down the middle. It may be the open hat...but it's not consistent either.
it's ok. not my cuppa'. don't care much for vst's but i get it why people use them. would sound so much better with real drums tho.
the snare is a bit loud. can't hear the bass or kick on small laptop speakers. perhaps too much boost in the deep lows below 100 and not enough low mids like around 220?
