Hey I hope I'm posting this in the right section. Basically what I've been trying to do is record some audio off of a video. So basically Ive been trying to figure out how to get a program that will record all sounds that are being played through my computer speakers and what not. Ive tried using virtual audio cable and Sound Forge to no avail. I'm not sure if I just don't know how to work them properly or what. If anyone has an idea how I can record audio thats being played through my PC speakers I would appriciate it. Thank you

More info would help.

What soundcard? Some SoundBlasters will, for example, let you do the infamous "What you hear" thing, (the thing that confounds a lot of people until they learn to turn it OFF) and that MAY allow it.

"Record audio off of a video?" Is it a digital video file that's on your hard drive, or do you have, say, a VCR or DVD audio outs connected to the soundcard inputs, or are you trying to rip audio from the computer's DVD?
