So I've been mixing a song lately for a little project of mine and thought I was doing everything I was supposed to in order for the mix to come out pretty decent. It sounds absolutely great on my monitors and headphones in my basement, but if I go and use other speakers, such as computer speakers on another computer, it's like someone cut the volume in half on the entire mix... But then if I try to turn up the volume even the slightest bit in Cubase, the tracks clip and start to become fuzzy and ugly-sounding. I have no idea what to do. Granted I've only mixed a few songs before in my life, I thought it would turn out a little better than this from what I was hearing on my monitors.
Anyone have any advice on what to do or anything?

If it is just the volume, check your PC cd burning settings. I had a problem with windows XP where when I burned an audio cd windows would normalize the files down to -o.6, YOu can see this if you re-import the cda files off the burnt disc, they will be apear smaller then the orignals.

Not enough info, really.... What does your waveform look like?

What does your waveform look like? Is it squashed or dynamic? Flat-lined across, or lots of tall and deep peaks and dips? How about the levels? Where's the average level sitting? -3dB? -12dB? -50dB?
Start with that info, and maybe that will provide a clue...and then it can proceed form there?
Also, might be good to list what speakers, amp, headphones, etc., you are using.
