Hi everyone, my guitar track bleeds into the Auxiliary (effect) track on Cubase.
I am using a Phonic Helix 18 Firewire into Cubase.
So essentially, track 1 and 2 (guitar tracks) bleed into my track 15 which happens to be the effect track which I am running vocals and reverb through.
I just want to monitor the guitars, not have them bleed into what I am recording.
Thanks for any help

My guesses?
You may be running the guitar tracks' effects send on the same send as the vocals?
Or, you may be monitoring those tracks to also allow recording those tracks (sound-on-sound) to track 15 when you hit "Record"?
Or, are you monitoring back through the Phonic, and that is being added to the vocal mix into the computer?
Just some things to check. Check all your routing.

Hi,
I am monitoring back through the Phonic.
I am not monitoring the guitar tracks during recording but I do hear them. Don't have the monitor buttons pushed. It wont allow me to hear them if I have the monitor buttons pushed.
Thanks,

I decided not to use the side chain effect track since it was picking up the other tracks. So I just straight shot the effect from the board to one track by pressing the Assign to Aux 1 in the firewire section. Probably wont do good for the other Auxs though but haven't tried.
Thanks for helping out. I am now just running everything direct
Thanks for helping out. I am now just running everything direct through the channel Insert and set the channel on the mixer to Post. The Auxs are more for a Live scenario or a general effect.
