I have 2 Dynaudio monitors, UA 610 solo preamp, rhode ntk mic, in my studio. I dont have air conditioning and today is suppose to be 105. I have blinds so it should be considerably less temperature. My question is. Is the heat bad for the equipment or will it be ok. It usually only gets this hot a week out of the year here in idaho. I could always get a portable unit.

I have no air conditioning in my home, either. When it pops above 90 in here, I leave all my stuff off. Not necessarily for the sake of the equipment, but that is one consideration. It's more for ME, so I don't feel like I just descended down to meet this guy> :evil:
If you can even stand to work in a that kind of heat...more power to you.
I try to get composition and stuff done very early in the morning when I can get a cool breeze to blow through. Still trying to get outta here!

Heat is never good for electronics, It causes the components to break down. Very high quality components can normally withstand higher temperatures. It really depends on how hot and how you have your equipment setup.
If it starts getting really hot and you can smell your equipment, shut it off and take the day off or get an A/C for the day just make sure you plug it into an outlet that is isolated from your other equipment or you could cause unwanted noise in your mix.
