hey friends. a couple quick questions.

1. Can and How do you run an analog mixer with a DAW such as pro tools. What would you need?

2. With the Roland TD series drums, can you load your own wav files into the brains rather than using the loaded presets?

1/
enough I/O to recieve from the sub groups or tape sends
enough inputs on the DAW to not need to use the DAW mixer
??
or anything in between

why use the mixer ?
that will probably go far to answer your question

2/
gut feeling is no
the TD units are not sample players
so you with have to use midi and send to a sample player ... soft or hard
this would loose some of the HiHat and double sensor magic

1. Well pro tools is proprietary to either digidesign or m-audio interfaces. you cant use it with anything else. In theory I guess You could plug the analog mixer into a line input in the interface.

2. No. I just sold my Roland kit. You cant upload .wav
