Hello,

I'm trying to get 2-channels (an entire mix) of 192kHz, digitally out of my Pro Tools HD3 Accel system via an AES/EBU output on one of my 192 I/O modules. I'm trying to go into a PC running WaveLab 4.0 via a Lynx L22 card. I'm using a 25ft. standard 110ohm AES/EBU digital cable by Canare. I've yet to get a signal at the L22... Assuming the internal-signal-routing configurations are correct on both ends, anything you see I'm missing?

Both the 192 I/O module and the L22 support 192k digital inputs via dual-wire transmission modes... Does my standard 110ohm digital support that?

I haven't connected a word clock cable yet, as I've yet to get one, but I figured I'd at least see signal at the L22 even without it... Correct?

Any help ASAP would be greatly appreciated as I've a deadline to met!

Thanks,

this is a 192 session ?
Lynx L22 card is running at 192 ?

connect the wordclock

I haven't done the 192 thing yet as I only have a 96
so I may not be much help but I'd double check the routing again

just for the hell of it
set up a 48k session and test a transfer and the move up to 96 then 192.
I don't suspect the cables or protocols at this stage

connect the wordclocks and get one slaving correctly

AES supports 192 kHz.

1. Did you go to your Set Ups menu? Select I/O Set Ups. It will automatically pop up on the outputs. Make A1-2 (or whatever the master output is) the AES/EBU output.

2. If you are transfering on AES, you do not need WC. The computer will sync to the via AES data.

3. Make sure that you have selected the correct input on your computer, and that you have made the computers card slave to sync to the PT AES data.
