Hey All!

After suffering some line up changes (lost two of our members), we're down to a four piece. We tracked this a couple nights ago, and I finally got around to mixing it, and this is the result. We're trying to avoid overdubs, and are sticking to a pared down, live sound.

I'm thinking I need to add background vocals. The others sing ... but there's parts where I think they're needed.

Comments on the mix (so far) warmly appreciated. Do I have a good balance on the instrumentation?

Thanks in advance!

I like the song and delivery and don't miss any Bvs . The spoiler for my listening experience was the rumble from the toms
mostly ( maybe hpf the reverb/ toms ) and the bass has too much reverb for me too . Could it be a global thing?
If you can repost with some alterations , I may miss the background vocals ...lol
good job!

Perfect. Thanks for the comments. You've confirmed some of my suspicions. It's funny what you hear when you first do it, and then when you relisten later w/ fresh ears.

Spot on. I actually took the tom mics out where they're not playing ... the rumble was terrible. What I couldn't get them out of the were the overheads. Next session, that's job #1. Stop the rumble.

The bass is dry ... but as Bouldersound pointed out, there a spot of sonic mud in it still. Thanks for the comments!
