Hi, I'm new to recording. I just purchased two of these mic stands MICROPHONE STAND-25900-300-55
Im not sure if they are tall enough for acoustic guitar recording. Have i bought the wrong type of mic stand?
Thanks.

Those are the exact type I use for miking seated acoustic guitar
Those are the exact type I use for miking seated acoustic guitarists, guitar amplifiers, kick drums and the like. As kmetal said, they are not necessarily suitable for standing guitarists, although they can be made to work if you can get close enough to the performer to use the extending boom to add height rather than reach.
The K+M stands are well made, very sturdy and robust. Highly recommended.
w/ the boom arm legnth you should be okay sitting, if your stand
w/ the boom arm legnth you should be okay sitting, if your standing playing, your cutting it a bit close depending on how tall your are. konig and meyer make nice stands! expensive but nice. usually i just use mic stands made for vocal mics. they usually go about 5' high plus the boom. you may want to consider a boom stand of this type instead, for verstility sake.
