Hi
I havn't been on the forum for a while but I now have a set of tracks I want to master to CD. I was thinking about getting either Wavelabs Essential 7 or Sony CD Architect 5.2 to 'Red Book' master.
Any thoughts on either or other suggestions?
Also what's the best format to master from my DAW i.e. wav, FLAC, AIFF etc... I normally just bounce down to mp3 to go onto soundcloud but this is obviously for a very different reason.

Wavelab is a wonderful full functioning program. If your intent
Wavelab is a wonderful full functioning program. If your intent is to master and burn for basically your own enjoyment, as well as, friends & family it's a good way to go. However, if your intent is to send the finished product out to be duplicated you may want to really consider having the tracks mastered by a professional engineer.
NOTE: On second reading I see that you were talking about the Wavelab Essentials software which I believe should actually be called Wavelab Lite. My comment was referring to the complete software package.

I think you mean burning industry compliant CD masters as opposed to mastering audio, right?
In terms of your DAW, broadcast wave is a standard format. Some lesser used formats are AIFF and SD-II.
