I just had the oputunity to check out the AGNULA (A GNU/Linux Audio distribution) release 1.0 for RedHat 8.0. The install was very straight forward, and worked well. I just did a fresh install of RedHat Linux 8.0 (including all packages). Then copied all the AGNULA files to a directory and ran the install.sh script. After rebooting my system three times (part of the install), I had a RedHat Linux system configured and optimized for audio, with a good bunch of audio apps installed.

The install script installs a new kernel with the low-latency patches, the alsa driver for your sound card, the jack server, as well as many audio apps including aurdour, Audacity, snd, ecasound and a bunch of others. It is by far the easiest linux audio install I've seen yet.
