krk v8 cables

i have a pair of v8s coming to me and i need to purchase cables

my sound source will be from an aardvark q10 which has no XLR outs

do i need special cables, say 1/4" to xlr, or will regular 1/4 to 1/4 be fine? any suggestions on what kind to get?

my technical knowledge on cable is not so hot.

If I remember correct the KRK V series has combo XLR/TRS connect

If I remember correct the KRK V series has combo XLR/TRS connectors so you can use a balanced 1/4 (TRS) all the way. If not, anyone in a musicstore can show you the way. A XLR to TRS is a very common cable.

If your runs are short you might not notice a difference between

If your runs are short you might not notice a difference between trs and unbalanced. But, it certainly won't hurt, so why not go for it?
