When I'm recording. . my vocals are not clipping in the analog realm. .but when I see them on my software they are exceed the tracking lanes. .in other words you don't see a sign wave you just see a red square so you can;t see the dynamics. Now on my virtual mixer, the digital wave is not clipping either. So I was just wondering if I should try to lower the signal in so that I can keep the wave within the tracking lanes or is it cool exceeding the lanes?
