I posted this in another section, and then after posting it I realized I should of stuck it in here... Here we go!

Hey all. I have a problem here. I believe its with the configuration on my Mac.
First of all let me get this out of the way. I am a Windows guy. I hate it, but its all i've ever known. I work in IT at a local factory, but we are a windows and IBM iSeries shop. No mac's. I have little experience with them.
Anyways, I pieced together a Mac about 8 months ago and its running OSX 10.5.1. It runs smooth! 4 Ghz of Ram. 2.33 Ghz Dual Core processor. TI chipset on the firewire card.
Anyways, I have only played with Logic 8 a little bit since getting it together. I don't believe that I had the FireStudio set up right though because I had the speakers running out of the headphone jack on the front of the FireStudio. It was the only way for it to give sound.
Anyways here's how its going now.
I have the monitors running into the back of my computer. When have the Firestudio off, I get sound through them. if I turn the firestudio on, I don't get any sound through anything!
Any suggestions?

I saw those outs but didn't realize that I HAD to use them. I figured that the sound would still come out of the PC too and that the outs on the back of the FS were for if you are not using it with a PC. (as a mixer or pre amp or something)
Anyways, thanks alot!

since you're an IT guy, think of the firestudio as an external sound card. your computer can only work with 1 sound card at once. when you turn that on, it's now your primary sound card. There is something like 8 outputs on the back of the firestudio but you should see something called "main out." plug your monitors into the main outs and you're good to go. other outputs are useful for running other systems such as a headphone amp.
