Hi everybody! Long time no see!
I have an white Ibook 500 mhz 192 ram and would like to hear recommendations of external soundcards for using Traktor for live DJ sessions. i'm telling you this because to get the best of this program you need 4 outs (2 master and 2 cue).
It doesn't need to be said, that the cheaper you can recommend me the best... at least for my pocket!
Thx in advance!

Hey,
Keep in mind that though very common now, M-Audio products are arguably still more prosumer then pro. (I had the the M-Audio Delta 66 card with the Omni i/o before and didn't mind it)
If that is your price range, check out the sound card line by Echo and Edirol as well.

I've been looking at audiocards, to go with Soundforge and spent
I've been looking at audiocards, to go with Soundforge and spent a little time on M-Audio's website, they have a good selection of cards but I came to the conclusion that they are unusable to me. They either have unbalanced outputs or inputs. Never both balanced. And also, you're not able to both record and playback when recording in 96khz. All small things, maybe, but quite irritating I'm going with the internal, Echo MIA.
I think, for Ant's case, a rpo-sumer level interface should fit
I think, for Ant's case, a rpo-sumer level interface should fit the bill. I mean a DJ in a noisy smoky club with boobs in his face isn't gonna be able to tell the difference.
And, I haven't checked, but I thought M-Audio's firewire interfaces were full-duplex at all recording rates?
Seems like your needs are simple enough. I'd recommend you avoid
Seems like your needs are simple enough. I'd recommend you avoid USB linterfaces like they're contagious. Go with a firewire interface, maybe one of M-Audio's new lineup, or a MOTU 828mkII. There are a couple of others.
