I have a couple of cheap shock mounts I got for a couple of MK-319's off ebay about ten years ago. Also, a third one for a AKG C4000B/414.
The black colored cord thats used to keep the shock mount strung has lost its elasticity. Does anybody know where to get more elastic cord and metal hardware to connect the ends?
Any help would benefit all of us who don't know how to go about getting the materials to fix it properly.

You can also pick up crimp on aglets from them too.
That should do the trick.
Heat shrink will also work as an aglet, just crimp the end with pliers whilst shrinking.

Go to a $1 store. You can find cloth covered, elastic bands, in different lengths, for your hair. Just don't put them in your hair. Some long enough to stretch around your kitchen trash can, to hold the plastic bag in place. Others are just the right size for a 414 shock mount.
