I am using mixcraft 4 and i have a m audio axiom 25, i want to use a talkbox with this set up. what else do i need to hook up the talkbox to my computer?
In your situation, I would think that a "vocoder" plug-in would be more appropriate. A "talk box" is a rig that uses a small guitar amp that, instead of a standard loudspeaker, uses a small horn driver, A vynl tube is attached to the driver, and then inserted into one's mouth. Whatever source (electric guitar, synth, etc) you play through the amp comes out of the vynl tube, and your mouth forms the sounds you want to achieve. There are extereme limitations as to what instrument (s) you can use this with (no basses!!!), and you have to mic up the resultant sound.
What you probably should be looking at is a VOCODER program that you run on your PC. There are a number of these on the market, and their flexibility is much greater. Not to mention more hygenic!
