ok, i just read through the entire manual and i don't see where you input the rhythm patterns. i can't ask in the NI forums because it's not taking my password, and support sucks. and i can't load the demo program and look around because it hasn't worked on my computer yet. one would think this would be one of the first things they discussed, but i didn't see a single mention of where/how you input the different rhythm patterns for each drum. thanks, Reuben

battery itself can't load any patterns, it's only a sample player, which needs a host like cubase, logic... to play pre-recorded midi-data.
in a host program you can load battery as a vst instrument plug-in and program your drums via midi or trigger them with a midifile.
i hope this helps!

hmm, alright, thanks. the website says it can be used as a standalone, so i'm a little confused.

it can be used as a stand alone, but only to trigger live sounds from a keyboard or e-drumset. it has no built-in sequencer.
