I have an edirol pcrm50 midi keyboard controller. I am trying to keymap samples from the mpc2000xl onto the edirol controller. How do I do this?

I've never used the MPC before but I would imagine that somewhere within it you can set each sample to trigger via a certain MIDI note or MIDI note range. That is where you would set this up...not on the keyboard.
It might be that you have to assign the specific pad to a MIDI note/note range.
