I don't have any experience personally w/ outboard adc but check this might be similar to what you are looking for [[url=http://[/URL]="http://www.sweetwat…"]Benchmark ADC1 USB | Sweetwater.com[/]="http://www.sweetwat…"]Benchmark ADC1 USB | Sweetwater.com[/] they have a good reputation from what i've read.

RME [[url=http://[/URL]="http://www.rme-audi…"]Fireface UCX[/]="http://www.rme-audi…"]Fireface UCX[/]. There are 4 line inputs on the rear, and as with all RME gear, the line inputs have separate signal paths rather than being attenuated and put through the pre-amps as they are on most interface units.

RME boxes have excellent ADAC, true.

Also consider SD's USBPre2. It's a great box, excellent quality sound on par with BLA ADAC and the pre's are nice and solid. That's my experience anyway.
