How is this http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/io26/ I also saw that a few indie bands have used it to record, as well as Chris Walla for those who know that o so familiar name. But how is this recorder? What would be a good interface?

BUT
what seemed weird to me is that it's not rackable. it would be much better suited in a stationary place. it doesnt seem that great for location recording.
maybe that's worth thinking about, maybe not.

I just recently got an io26. The drivers took a little while to set up on Leopard, but besides that it works fine. 8 inputs, possible 26, 8 outs, midi, s/pdif, yeah Im sure you know all the features by now. If you have more money Im sure presonus or something would be nicer, but if you're poor like me it does the job just fine.
