Anyone familiar with SSD Trigger 2 ?

I'm trying to install the "SSD Platinum Kit Presets" into the Trigger Instruments folder, but not having much success locating it anywhere.

Any advice would be appreciated. :D

They state to install the SSD Platinum Presets to the "Instruments Folder"...not being able to find that I created a folder, (because frankly it doesn't exist already) and labelled "Instruments" and placed them in there.

Trigger knows they are there, when you search in "Browser" in trigger you can find them, its just that its not recognizing them as presets...WTF ?

I have contacted SSD, they advised I allow them to hook up a remote access session with them, which I'm not too keen on due to as a rule of thumb I'm not a fan of allowing anyone remote access into my PC.

I'm not too fussed either way, at the end of the day they are only presets, but because they came with Trigger 2 I thought I may as well install them.

Thanks for your advice Marco, I guess I just have to keep fishing around until I work it out.

EDIT : From reading about other users having the same problem on another forum it turns out its a bug in the program.

From what I have read, installation was correct on my behalf and I have done everything instructed regarding creating the folder during installation. o_O

One would think SSD would have sorted this out...even after contacting their customer support I didn't get much by way of help, just advising me to hook up a remote access with them, which I don't agree on.

Leaves me a little pissed to think that they are offering this for purchase with new users still being in the same boat when it comes to this as other users were when this was first launched years ago.

The only thing its Triggering is stress.;)

I know of the hesitancy to let someone into your computer, it's a little like letting someone you don't know into your house to poke around... but in this case, it may serve you best; at least they are offering to help in the best way they know how, and not ignoring your problem.

Hide the porn to a flash drive, and let them in. ;)

Guys, 90% of my IT job is done by remote.
We have resillient connectors and temporary ones.
Our solutions are very safe and I wouldn't have any doubts about the more populars like logmein or teamviewer.
If you want to be safe, check services in the task manager before and after the remote session. Anything new that is still there after a reboot should be removed.
The real question is do I thrust the person before I give access to my computer. Only you can answer this !

I don't mind it TBH...it was on sale and I thought I'd give it a try.

Trying to work out how to load my own samples into it though, the stock ones are a (tci?) different format than my wav samples.

Does anyone know if / howw you can convert from wav to tci?...I haven't looked into it as yet...

Hmmm...after a quick Google search I found this on another forum that shall not be named...

"I figured it out, Trigger 2 does read WAV files as well, simply take the file and place it in the Trigger 2 samples folder where all your other samples are found. To load it in Trigger either go to the browser and click and drag the sample down to one of the grey squares at the bottom OR double click the sample (make sure "Enable Instrument Loading with Double Click" is checked in "Settings"). Done, works great!

Have not tried this as yet...but answered my own question in the same post...bonus points ! (y)
