Hi,
I'm using an m-audio quattro for my simple home studio setup. i've noticed lately though that when recording audio, the waveform of the recorded track shows up a few m/s late in my software. at first i thought this was due to my own human error, but after working with several people, i'm beginning to realize that it might be my soundcard, or the manner in which it's configured in my software (nuendo). has anyone else ever encountered a similar problem? it even happens when i record midi, the tracks are a bit late, and for midi i'm sure that it's not me being that late. any help would be great.
thanks.
Go to cubase.net and do a search. You may need to make a manual
Go to cubase.net and do a search. You may need to make a manual adjustment to playback timing with that device. There is a loopback test that you can use to determine the exact amount you need.
Thats what I had to do in Cubase to get the timing right on the money but once its done you never touch it again.
