I'm looking for a decent audio desk. I've looked at the ones that they sell at Guitar Center, but they don't really do much for me. Any good desk companies out there for audio purposes?

Lots of great consoles out there......

How much do you want to spend?
$1k?
$5k?
$10k?
$25k?
$50k?
$200k?
or do you have serious money to spend? ($500k +)

Once that's resolved, we need to discuss how many input channels you need. YOu can get "world class" performance for under $10k, *IF* you can get by with 8 channels. On the other hand, if you just can't make a record without at least 96 channels, bring big bags of money.

Yeah, but I suck with power tools! Give me a car and some audio/video electronics and I'll rewire a BMW in under a few hours, but give me a saw and I'm junk. Back in the day I tried building myself a subwoofer box for my car and had to use a couple pounds of tub calk to fill in all of the gaps.

I think I'll just take it like a man at Guitar Center for one of theirs.

Don't despair, I bought my desk at GC and everyone who comes over wants to buy the same one. It's made by KK AUDIO, but no pics anywhere online, I think it's a GC exclusive, they have a few of them setup in the ProAudio dept. downstairs at the Manhattan/14th Street location....

I got it for $500.
