I'm trying to add a good echo effect, the kind that repeats the word like 2 or 3 times as it gets lower, but the ones i keep getting sound very very crappy and i cant figure out how. I'm using adobe audition 1.5

copy and paste the vocal then put a slow fade on it, then you can control how may repeats you wnat, also try using a effect like cosmonaut voice, check out my website and listen to status green fro expamples
